Jiwoo acted like nothing happened after their big fight because he didn't expect Eunsung would ACTUALLY leave him. I like this chapter because this is where Eunsung CLEARLY already gave up on gaining Jiwoo's affection. Jiwoo cheating on him really was his last straw. Eunsung could not care less anymore in this chapter lmao. This is what happens when cheaters finally find their match!

This is my 3rd re-read and I just realized it even more that Jiwoo is really naive and simple.

It's obvious in his little back story, with how he believes in spending "forever" with someone, but this chapter really showcases how immature he is in a relationship. Here it's heavily implied he met Chaeun Park and had a physical fight with him, which made him realize that Eunsung has someone who is THAT in love with him. That Eunsung is actually THAT desirable.

It made him scared and insecure, which is why he decided to hook up with the girl and make Eunsung jealous. But instead of Eunsung acting like a hurt maiden like he did in the past, he got angry instead, which clearly made Jiwoo worried, shown with the way he hesitated to tell Eunsung that he and the girl didn't sleep together.

He basically acts like a kid. Eunsung is way more emotionally mature than he is. Which is why he acts like a toxic teenage boyfriend even though they're already in their twenties.

The way people on X are saying Jaekyung is right on this one and are validating his response towards Dan 🤢🤮 They want to be "different" so bad 💀💀💀

I like Jaekyung bc I like rude semes who become soft towards their ukes, but I know what Jaekyung is, I'm not delulu about him 💀💀💀 He's a jerk through and through, he treats other people like they're inferior. You don't have to validate your faves shi*** behavior to like them as characters 🤢🤮

Anyway this was such a poignant chapter. Jiwoo being so broken that he can't even accept Eunsung's gesture for fear that Eunsung will take it back later. They're both so emotionally ruined by what they did to each other.

Eunsung is right for wanting to start over with a clean slate. The only way they can end this cycle of toxicity is by being apart, even if just for some time. But I can understand Jiwoo's fear that Eunsung might move on if they do that...
