Hey guys, nothing bad will happen to Jiwook in the next chapter, to ease your minds. The few after that, however... Anyway, I can't grasp the manhwa's pacing, but I'm so sure, as someone who's read the novel, that absolute doom won't be in the next.

Hmm, it’s really up to your interpretation. I thought it was a bitter ending though, and I felt sorrow for both sides. The side stories, however, takes on a lighter edge (for example, their sexual encounters finally isn’t straight r*e) than what the main story concluded with— if that comfort you.

From what I can recall from the novel (I've finished it a long while ago..), in the side stories-- Kwon Jiwook started experiencing hallucinations of the men that raped him, telling him to die. The hallucinations did get to him, and he did had a suicide attempt, but he thought of it as “just pretending to hang himself,” despite it actually being a near-death experience (well, according to Juyeon’s “you almost died!”). Jiwook also receives some type of awakening after seeing Juyeon “care” so much, and have a phase of self-harming tendencies, though his reckless behavior was soon dismissed once he reenacted another attempt.
