capitalism also does not take human nature into account in the way that would solve it. It encourages it beyond what a normál society should have. Because why care about the customer if they have no other option but to buy from you? And they have to buy from you because you bought up all the competition.

I can see where his trauma comes from. His first love was nice to him, a loner and later he found out she was just farming some karma points or whatever. For a kid that can be quite traumatic. Well not as much as his I guess but the plot demands it

from what I understood the East is unified and cannot be controlled by the Emperor. So Artezia proposed to "only" execute half of the prisoners (the Emperor wants to execute everyone, Duke Ebron wants to save everyone). This way Duke Ebron gets some of what he wanted and the Emperor gets what he truly wants, division in the eastern nobility. But from his poor health it seems like Artezia is actually just paving the way for when Duke Ebron will be the Emperor

she wasnt "abused" but ignored. Even now her main issue with him is that he will remember everything and go back to ignoring her. 

But talking things out would have solved everything from the beginning anyways. As for now... maybe having a solid piece of guarantee that she will not be abandoned would solve this predicament and they could start getting close to each other. As for how idk LOL

so once again let's observe this situation from male leadás perspective, shall we? First of all, blushed. Who wouldn't when they get asked if they can be kissed? Even if asked by someone they aren't attracted to but is a friend (she thought of him as a friend and were slightly attracted keep in mind).
Then placing the hand on chest could easily be a way to create distance or a precaution to do that. 
Gasping, once again, she just got asked by her friend if he can kiss her.

None of this was consent, it was all shock

I "missed" that point because neither you neither me are mind readers. You only know she us attracted to the mc because the manga told you so. You observed the whole situation from third person and saw both sides first person too. So your views are biased. Look at it from mc's perspective. There is this woman he likes who is going through a lot of things and needs his help sometimes. They get along and it seems to be progressing well. Then he asks for a kiss and there is no answer. Absolutely zero indication of attraction. And my biggest reason for calling it out: they don't get together after. Moan all you want you can't ignore this point. The main character literally said she is not ready for it (yeah yeah for outside reasons but it still means the same).

"Taking the first step" is not kissing her but asking if he can kiss her. Which he did. Or pulling her closer.

For the first kiss you NEED consent. No matter how romantic YOU feel the moment is, it might not be the same for your partner. And no, helping for years and looking good is not an excuse for YOU to push things on your partner that they might either not be ready for or don't want.
