@Lauf Not sure if you've ever worn heels, if not... Well, try wearing them for an entire evening without anything protecting your feet and you will learn of their evils. Even without a lot of walking they can do some damage.
Particularly when it wasn't uncommon to wear slightly smaller shoes than would be a comfortable fit in the time periods these kinds of stories are based on.

The emotional damage this inflicts is immeasurable... But I love it.
I already know there's no way she will actually die given the type of story this is. But, truthfully part of me wishes that she would, only in the sense that I love a beautifully tragic story (not really wanting her to die so much as I think it would make for a good story).
"Another" ...Okay I think we know who the FL is... It's a little cliché but I don't hate it.

@chouaib chouaib GM I'm pretty sure this Manhua was around before Dao of the Bizarre Immortal, but I don't know if there are novels of these two so I couldn't say which of those came first. I do like Dao of the Bizarre Immortal but it struggles quite a bit more with its pacing, likely due to chapter length straining its structure.

@Anonymous Yeah... I don't really get it, there has to be some actual tension for it to be a cliffhanger. A fight about to start or being mid-fight doesn't quite cut it for me, haha.

@Dex Not every chapter is going to resolve the entire situation, and even in these situations calling it a cliffhanger is such an overreaction. No-one is on the brink of death, there's no big reveal hinted at, it's just... the moment before a fight?

@Rick Anapaz Honestly. I've noticed a weird obsession with pacing complaints in every martial arts manhwa when it isn't wall to wall fights, and everything is a cliffhanger in these folks books.
