Present life: Jarn's mom has separation anxi3ty bc she has memories from her past life. or at least lingering feelings from that life. Jarn goes missing for two days not years (thanks to the aunt? ). The monster Jarn remembers he tamed as a child was Fenrir. Jarn's past life tr@uma and present time relationship with his mother affects his entire being. Explains why he feels so much and subconsciously remembers the fear he has for the Duke even he doesn't know why.
Speculation 1: Fenrir became temporarily mindless and got caught by Duke Ordin bc he used too much power to turn back time and became weakened. Speculation 2: Jarn's aunt remembers her past life. and we know the aunt and mom is all about family. She goes to the castle to save Jarn and his mom from that future that's why she desperately comes back when Jarn goes missing. And at the castle she keeps a picture of him as a reminder(?) and love for her family. Jarn was the "humanoid monster" in the past life. maybe she is in this timeline.
 
Norse mythology:
Fenrir was the monster wolf responsible for the g** Odin's d3ath, part of Ragnarok (end of the world) and responsible for the downfall of humans. 
 
Duke Ordins name is very similar to Odin

This story has way too many amazing side characters. The author can make so many spin-offs or side stories. I pray to the Yaoi gods that it'll come into fruition. Specifically Hoin's best friend, Sunbae's brother and now this shaman dude. this is such a c0€k tease.

But, there's no romantic development between the two after 40+ chapters. The beautiful work of art is a distraction from the plot progressing. Even when the author sprinkles in potentional love interests to get in between them, nothing really happens. Probably putting this on hold until there are more chapters.
