maybe your right, but i see it a bit differently, i think he want to have something that his brother doesn't have, he want to win aginst his brother, i can kinda relate to that, my mother gives all her love to my older brother and i don't hate him for that at all or blame my mother for it but sometimes i just want her to love me for me, i don't want her to be like "well your brother did it so you should do it too" or "you should be more like your brother".

...I agree with you actually not all the stories are realistic but this story is the closest thing I've seen to reality and it's the angst thing that makes the ending happier at least for me, for example if Dan was happy and living with his grandmother and everything was fine, then the story wouldn't even exist, I also liked how you said we should rate the story By the writing styl and character developmentm, and I can't wait to see ML development in the story.
