The f*ck are you doing Riftan ?

I love how Maxi is finally speaking up about it and expressing how she fells T^T Hope she will have the time and the proper environment to heal

She wanted to distance herself from her family, she succeeded and she wanted to marry Riftan because she thought Riftan was going to save her. But ! They may love each other, however they are both currently toxic for each other. They need to be away from each other for a while. I will never romanticize Riftan's character current version because he is being a d*ck right now. What I found weird since the beginning, he knew her father was pure evil, and yes as a man of honor, he chooses to believe that she was evil as well without initiatives. And it was obvious she was mistreated, she has low confidence, low self-esteem, low sense of self, she was thin, she had no idea how to properly dress and what he thought would do her justice was to baby her, I love how she learned how to stand up for herself little by little so she can do things she wants.
 
 
And now after what she achieved on her own by finally believing she could do it, you decided to not tell her about the miscarriage when she herself didn't knew about it (Well I doubt this actually, after all this seges ? and I don't think she is dumb. Maybe it is about how her character is being written as well 👀), and you call that love ? Mehhhhh ....

I read this manhwa since chapter 1 and I dare to say every single character is toxic asf, well that's how they created them to be actually. This story is about societal expectations and realities.  
 
Calling Maxi "weak" is absolutely ridiculous, imagine you were taught since you were little, you were severely mentally and physically abused by your surroundings, that you were only born to marry for politics and to be a baby machine in order to maintain your family's name.
 
I love how her character shows how f*cking difficult it is to get out of that environment after years inside of it. Her character has to learn the hard way that she is not what happened to her and that she is the only one to have power to save her from her own sufferings. Because when you still believe you are what happened to you and you constantly blame yourself for all of it, you will still choose that environnement.
