Physical Power isn't a straight line, it eventually curves, making it more difficult to become any stronger than that.

In video game terms, imagine if a level 100 could defeat a level 110. The 110 did get stronger, but he has his limits, and the level 100 could've also been using a weapon set or combo list that the 110 has never faced before while the 110 was using a combo set the 100 was very familiar with. And the 100 could likely even kill a 120 under the same premise. More difficult to do but still possible, because a fight for your life is always full of unpredictable outcomes.

I kind of understand some of what she desires. Luke isn't always going to be in the same party, and if there is ever a monster that his sleep magic doesn't work on, they will need that experience to grow stronger. But the issue with worlds that have a level up system is that you can also become stronger by simply killing some creatures. Now, manga and manhua worlds like this definitely lean more into the idea of "having a higher level is only an advantage that strengthens you, not makes you invincible," but such an experience shouldn't be forcibly applied by personal views. It should be an event that takes place naturally, or at least be artificially made by someone with real experience.

At minimum, convince people that the merchant was working with bandits, but what he actually does is better.

You know, this actually is a pretty smart move as he now has the reason and means to question everyone that enters and leaves the city, including the people that try to come to aid the merchant. (and considering how easily paranoid the villagers are, he can convince them that the merchant is working with those bandits)

@Harlock Have you not read a page of the Epstein files? Oh wait, you likely only get your news from the NEWS (over 75% democrat) so you wouldn't know that the number of times a democratic's name appears is 3 times more than Trump's name appears. (which is mostly Epstein talking about how much he hates Trump for ratting him out in 2008, just before Trump left the democrats)

@ZCore I would have to re-read, but I don't think he's the ONLY blacksmith they have, but the BEST SMITH THEY'VE EVER SEEN. They even already mentioned in the previous chapter that mc is both mentally strong and physically capable.

@Blackthorn_lp RPG logic is that world's rulings, a monk's kick is as hard as steel, so the kick likely could dent the armor.

@KDY13 Yeah, if I had to guess, a sword can be made by a blacksmith who has a grudge, but that likely only opens up a space for grudges to enter, like giving a sword a gem slot in a game. For this situation, the sword was made through sacrifice, but also with grudges for pushing the blacksmith's wife to sacrifice herself to craft the twin blades. That could've evened out the positive and negative energies, but the way the sword ended up being used is what created the cursed sword we have.

Oh ho, so there is now a non-killing option to gain lives too. Like reaching a specific achievement gives you rewards behind it. (Would've been real funny if the assassin protecting the old fa** had Love/Life +4 above their head. Or gag a male character with it because we know these manhua love to make gay men that are twice as buff who are overly grapey)

@N 0 0 B I think its level difference. "Kill someone worth two of you now and you get 2 lives for later." But when it came to a mission target, he was already receiving a reward. But this guy he's fighting now seems like a good +3.

where are the lifes for killing that piece of sh** that gave heavenly dragon pill?...
The only reason I consider that to be a smart choice is that he's planning to save scum for more techniques and items he could bring into his next life.
The only reason I consider that to be a stupid choice is that he had 2 free slots, not needing to save over the one he already has (but the only pass is that he likely doesn't know he can save over existing slots).

@Voidreader01 Very true. MC isn't a reincarnation or someone from the future with enough time to change anything, he was on the way to be thrown in the fire twice before realizing the way that cripples him would get him out of it. And even that didn't mean he was away from danger, as he's been above spikes on this tight rope he's been walking since the +10 (essentially 10x stronger than him) guy appeared before him, gauging whether or not killing him was a good idea, a bad idea, or of wasted effort.

You know... I consider it lucky that King was even able to see the panties, considering the fight is practically happening at high enough speeds to end up in other cities, away from the original location.

@FoolishClown Or in the simplest terms "Think about the worst thing you could do, and then that end up becoming your reality. You didn't mean to do it because you thought you were just doing a thought experiment, a vivid dream. But that vivid dream turned out to be reality."
