@Mayaaa The only advice I can give is probably to not get into a relationship with him. Because a relationship that starts with uncertainty will continue in uncertainty and will most likely end with you both more hurt than if you rejected him. And like the other comment said, if he doesn't respect your rejection, he's not worth it. You should always have your boundaries and should only be with people who respect you and your "no", especially in a relationship.
So just let him down gently and reject him if he confesses🫶🫶🫶

Then let me remind you about their past! 

So earlier in the story when this feisty lion came out of the gate, the main guy used his gift and he transformed back into a human! He was then captured and this tentacle guy was in charge of the interrogation and how he did it was.... You guessed it! Non consensual sexual acts! They then became partners and spent their time together in the guild. But when everyone got their memories back and the world was saved, the lionbasically said "Fu** you all! I'll leave and go to my own! Especially you tentacle guy! You can kindly shove your guild up your a**!🤗" but he, of course, didn't hold that promise either and welcomed him back to his ar**.
and now the tentacle guy is in delial of his own feelings towards the lion and acted like an absolute butt**** once again anf broke the lions heart💔
now he's back and got jealous when the lion tried to find another (as you saw)

@Arty The main guy (secretary) was the worlds best hunter but got stuck in a gate for YEARS and then magically got out. Since he doesn't quite want to go back to that life, he's pretending to be someone weaker. He then managed to get the guild leaders attention and became his secretary officially. But the guild leaders knows that there's something he's hiding but he haven't figured it out again. What happened now was that they were at this auction and he saw his old spear (the one he had when he was the strongest) and the guild leaders noticed that he took interest in it and bid on it.
Just so you know, the guild leaders power is poison and he can't touch anyone's skin because of it, but since the main character has poison resistance - he's able to touch him (didn't work that good the first time but he can neutralize it
