@Honey bee Yeah we do taleem here to at peoples house every saturday but it's not always in jamaat but whenever I'm in jamaat we always do the taleem with community members like how we do it in our own community

@Honey bee Its called Tabligh Jamaat, basically a group of people usually 3-5 families or more come together (men and women separated and the youngest kid stays at a friend or relatives house, so only my lil sis) so its usually like me and 9-10 other people and we go stay at someones house (not a relative but some muslim person offering their home so they can get good deeds for helping people spread islam and stuff) and we basically sleep on the floor cuz we have to be like humble or smth and we can't like make the home owner do work, we wake up earlier at like 3 for tahajud and for this thing called tashkil or six qualities where one person either discusess some topic of Islam for an 1 hour and we all sit and listen or they say facts about the six qualities in the hadith book then we go to sleep and wake up and eat the food we brought then have taleem where we sit while one person reads a book in english and the other person reads the book in our language like hadiths, that's like 2-4 hours then we listen to a bayaan it's like a speech about Islam thats like 1-2 hours and then we do dua and eat lunch then we have break we can sleep or do dhikr wtv we need to do. Next we have another evening taleem and listen again for a few hours then have dinner and pray have another tashkil for a few hours then the aunties yap about how great their sons are and ask 15 year olds when they get married or yap about drama yk annoying aunty stuff then we go to bed and repeat for the rest of jamaat so it's just being religious all day. Also its not necessary to go 3 days my parents are jamaatis so they believe it's obligatory in islam to go for 3 days every 3 months for women and for men its 3 days every month and you can go any amount of time some people go 10days I went once and I've been doing 3 days every few months since 8 years and my dad went 40 days once and some people go 4 months or a year I think that basically sums up whay it is but tbh this one was a lot easier than the last one because in the last one I got in trouble for simply reading a normal book and they kept talking to me about marriage even tho I'm clearly a fresh teenager and they were super super religious like zero breaks just be religious all day and if your not they will call you out but these people are less religious so it was sm easier and I got break for like 3 hours so it was not that bad I just missed my yaoi. The point of jamaat is to spread the word about islam to people because it's our job as the ummah of the prophet and its kinda like fasting ig since your leaving the comfort of your home but that's the point of jamaat from what I've heard I guess. If you're interested in tabligh jamaat I would recommend doing research because every country is different and every jamaat is different like I drive 20 minutes away for 3 days but my dads been all the way to Spain for 40 days so it depends ig and my explanation is kind of jumbled up so if you want to learn more its probably better to ask a sheikh or smth. Honestly I'm rlly surprised that no one knows what jamaat is I've been doing it for half my life and all my muslim friends know it (they don't like it along with their families tho, its a very hated tradition in Islam these days) I do have my own phone but aunties peek over your phone and look at what your doing especially my mom and sis so I can't do that I'm also a minor so technically they can do wtv they want with my phone so at home I can read wtv I want but not outside or in front of family members besides my lil sis unless I wanna be grounded and sent to some school that will make me a better muslim like what happened to my queer muslim friend. I can't read those because they're gay and even though I want to be atheist or agnostic I can't because I don't want to disappoint my parents so I'm muslim outwardly but not inwardly so even if I wanted to be I couldn't for the sake of my parents reputation and happiness, in the past I told my mom I like girls and she was nice abt it but basically said it was haram and I'll go to hell yk and my whole family is not homophobic but they're very mean to them like literally yesterday they were talking about a movie and basically the mc did very brutual stuff to random gay people so im very much horrified and will not come out and they call queer people disgusting and stuff and I can never tell my parents I'm not muslim cuz last time I got grounded and had to break up with my gf so i definitley cannot read or watch anything queer in front of them, id rather lie and be "muslim" and go to jamaat because i do really like and respect the religion but I cant help if I don't believe in it so I hope that explains it sorry if its a bit sloppy if I need to explain more lmk, also I'm a minor btw so when I'm older I'll stop going to jamaat and read wtv I want but rn I can't do that or else my parents will send me to some boarding school in South Africa (they do that in my community)
