I'm reading this bcs Unchanged Man has changed me for the better (I need a breather). Ugh, I already love this trope!! <3

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION!! EVERY OPINION DIFFERS!! NOT SPREADING HATE!! I LOVE THE CHARACTERS THE WAY THEY WERE PORTRAYED!

As someone who focuses a lot on the plot rather than the characters themselves, I never hated the male lead, but some readers hated him a lot for being too egotistical and self-centered (or more, I really never paid attention). The main character, on the other hand, is too oblivious, and despite not actually analyzing their characteristics, I saw how unstable his identity is in the story.

Plot-wise? In my humble opinion, it was terrible. Perhaps because the translations glossed over the major triggers of several events (aka bad translation alert); however, the story is too fast, too abrupt, too random, too messy. I was expecting a lot of things: the MC's backstory—which they briefly explained in just one chapter; the occupation of the ML and his acquaintances/guild members... the possible consequences of "guiding too much," the concept of "scent"... All of these were either briefly/poorly explained or never tackled.

It makes sense that the author revealed their identity in under 20 chapters (C - Class to S-SS - Class), when there are 80 of them in total. I was so suspicious, but I still kept reading.

Shame, the story has so much potential.
