Just because he is worshipped doesn't mean he has to pay attention to him. 

Also the person  who worshipped him was clingy n obsessed. Not to mention how he basically insulted darian n his family in his words n actions, so darian lashing out  at him like that is perfectly justified. 

And Darian seemed to be the kind of person who won't do some things unless you voice, so if the dude had asked to be guided in his own swordsmanship, things would have been fine but he went ahead to mimic darian's(without permission) which can be seen as an insult

But author made mc as dumb as a brick, so he doesn't think of stuff like that early. 

There was a chapter one of the guys he joined in the North got impaled and instead of healing him, mc forgot n the guy had to heal normally.
