Bringing his memories back offscreen is pretty weak.
Babies should not have pillows. They're a suffocation risk. Even premies get skin contact with their parents. Failure to thrive is a bigger risk than anything else. Even immunocompromised infants get safely controlled skin contact when possible. I'm not a parent. This is basic knowledge. It drives me nuts when authors put in zero research effort for such simple things.

@LaserBeam A couple exist. Thirst is a vampire story with a vers couple which is really good, if stressful for plot reasons. Both guys are very muscular.
Pheromone Shower: Like a Tidal Wave has a vers alpha/omega couple.
Playtime with Hakdo is also vers, although that's the only notable thing about it. The story itself is rather boring IMO

@ag77 Obviously, but in my opinion no explanation is easier to accept than a bad one. Crazy random survival stories happen, but when you tell me he inherited the ability to survive house fires from his father then I'm going to get pulled out of it. This isn't My Hero Academia and he didn't get a fire proof quirk.
