...My enjoyment is stuck ya'll. I love reading this, but I wish I can love it more.
I absolutely adore the characterizarion so far. Dan is competing as the most adorable uke in yaoi history. I just want to protect and keep him warm from everything bad in the world. Despite the depraved violence, I even like Jaekyoung with the little glances that hints at his obsession with Dan. We all know he's unknowingly falling for Dan. Both are interesting characters to follow.
But I know this enjoyment of mine will be dampened by how predictable this story is and how it will rehabilitate what really is a seriously messed up relationship. Maybe I'm deluded but I really want to treat this story as more than just sm** for me to fantasize about, I'm not asking the author Mingwa to write some groundbreaking masterpiece, but I wish they would forward this story somewhere unique and fresh. Otherwise, the constant r*pe really hinders my full enjoyment of this story, esp if I know that Jaekyoung is probably going to get away with it.
New chapter was too short! Oh well. Poor Dan. I don't want him to get hurt anymore!
Very pretty. I was expecting something more demented (maybe because my mind has been poisoned by toxic yaoi) but I'm very happy with how this turned out.
Here are my predictions for this series:

Thoughts on this chapter:
Da** you, Dan! You should have given yourself a day before accepting the "s** at any time" requirement in the contract! I know you didn't know, but he is obsessed with your booty. I bet Dan could have blueballed him into bringing the contract back to "pre-match s** only" for the same price per month. Oh well, I guess more sad r*pe scenes for us, sick readers.
Thoughts on the series:
Ok, I haven't read BJ Alex for a while, but there's clear parallel between this story and that. Some things worth noting here that is different though: the quality of art is already really good in BJ Alex, but Jinx takes it to another level. Lovely art, super spicy. The issue of class (debt, financial hardship, etc.), albeit is a trope in BL stories, is not so significant in BJ Alex. The aesthetic of class difference was there but it didn't define the story. For this story, the story relies on the class difference between Dan and JJ.
(spoilers for BJ Alex)
As a consequence of this difference, the theme of identity doesn't seem to be as important in Jinx as it was in BJ Alex; however, the theme of recognizing a person's self-worth is a theme that I think will carry over from BJ Alex.
The question now is: Will the author follow the same story beats as BJ Alex or are they going to surprise us by taking us to a different journey?
This is the same author for The Perfect Relationship (note: different artist for the two stories.) Both stories are f'd up like this but I think this one so far is not as messed up.
Ok, this can't end well, I predict. Yuki will probably play along until he has a chance to escape.
The story is f*cked up... just how I like it.
Okay, fuuck, the situation immediately got worse.
This is the calm before the storm. I'm sensing a disturbance in the force.
@AKO AT MARITES That's some short attention span.
@DragonScar Who asked for forgiveness for p*dos? Nobody. Who said he didn't deserve what happened to him? Not me. Who would want to live in a world were justice is doled up by a bunch of convicted criminals? Not anyone reasonable. Since this is fiction, I guess I don't have issues with you getting your rocks off at the unnecessary torture of some r*pist. IRL, I hope you're not that f*cked in the head.
I'm reading through this story for the first time. And it's fantastic so far. The art is beautifu...

Kinda went ahead and read the raws....
Well.. I'm glad that's over and done with. As problematic and frustrating that relationship was, at least it wasn't boring and the art is pretty good. I'm moving on.
Please, I just want them to be happy at this point. I'm miserable reading this week after week but I can't stop. I just want to know what happens. I am sisyphus pushing a boulder up a mountain only for it to roll down again. I'd pay money to just get to the end.
It's not gonna happen but the best outcome would be if the redhead and the white-haired dude kill each other. Cho-ah deserves so much better.
Well, we have a ticking time bomb here. There's no way the setup here isn't going to lead to Mujin murdering at least one of those guys hitting on his bf. Yikes.
Enjoying it so far.
So far so good!
I'm reading through this story for the first time. And it's fantastic so far. The art is beautiful and smart, the characters are memorable and distinct, and the chemistry between Mian and Haegu is sizzlin'. I'll be reading to the end. Huge fan.
BUT
There are some sadistic f*cks in the comments, which is worrying, so I'm here to give my two cents. To those who this comment applies: I hope your psychopathic f*tish is merely theoretical, a guttural plea for caveman justice that doesn't bleed over to how criminals IRL should actually be dealt with.
Yeah, that person probably did the unacceptable and vile r*pe that he is being tortured for. He is a gross piece of sh*t; no disagreements there. But the glorification of violence needs to be practiced with high caution. You don't want the government, much less an underground group of unaccountable assassins and torturers, having the power to do this to criminals.
The joy by which the torturer conducts their business is apparent and gross. It would be less worrying if they feign justice by keeping a stoic and detached persona, but, no, this is Friday night for them. The people, including the parents, who would watch the torture of a r*pist, are probably sick themselves and should not be walking freely in society. I'm not inclined to believe that the parents, who probably now live for the legacy of their dead children, would sit voyeuristically at a gruesome, inhumane torture of a p*do. It doesn't bring their children back to life nor does it prevent the r*pe and m*rder of other children but merely perpetuates the normalization of gross violence.
