why is the side story hitting harder than the main story?

one thing i love about them is that they've stuck together for so many chapters and stayed loyal to each other even if none of them had a lot of hope for their relationship and up to this chapter it was never boring. usually when a couple gets together in webtoons they need to constantly insert a third person or random drama to keep the reader engaged (let's be honest the lovey dovey arc in a rls is a bit boring) but with them it was never like this, drama has always been present but even when they fought they never thought about leaving or ending their situationship. they just keep growing and healing together and it's beautiful

blonde dude needs a character development soon or i hope mc leaves him he's everything you should avoid in a relationship and no amount of well-drawn sm** can save him

uhm- nobody is thinking ilay is a good person, just because someone doesn't comment that he's bad it doesn't mean they agree with his actions. ilay fcking kills people for no reason beside him being annoyed i hope nobody is expecting him to be human towards anyone else. they will never have a healthy relationship and ilay will never be a green (not even beige) flag. i think atp if we keep reading we know what to expect and it doesn't mean we agree with his behavior.
