Chapter 3 and already tired of the BS. A mage as strong as him doesn't need to be a fuc**** guard to protect a dumbass prince. He, a "genius" mage, should be able to perceive his own level thus knowing his importance in the kingdom. Him being a guard if the prince already pis*** me off but his idiotic mind... is on another fuc**** level. The kingdom probably would hire him with way more than he is payed near the prince. He's such a valuable mage during war times that can protect a whole a** castle or city(i skimmed through that info) from ennemy attacks. Also has spacial and offensive versions of his barrier magic.

@Cat Garfield Half of what you said is right in my opinion.
The old man offered him a place as his disciple and he still went on to try to fight him. He could've waited until he got strong enough to kill the old man. His death wasn't 100% sure. That's called a dumbass action. It's forgivable since you know, emotions can affect what we do.
He DOES NOT have a sense of crisis. He asks for a balanced life as a disciple of the Heavenly Demon.🙏😭 That's already dumb. His master has probably hundreds of ennemies who want him and the people close to him to die yet the mc is trying to relax. Although the time he takes to rest is opinion based, I still feel he isn't maximizing his full potential which is the reaosn why I consider him lazy.

Never truly understood why some authors gotta pull the "mount that he has just met a few days ago dies move". Like this world is a cultivation world. A few days to get attached to something while you can live hundreds of thousands of years is kind of dumb.

Holy sh**, her allies are getting captured outside and she's only thinking about saving a single guy?🤦 In some stories, the theme of justice(the saintess/saint sh**) is just bullshit and annoying since it contradicts the main theme which is survival. You climb the tower because you want to survive and save other humans from the dying because of the tower. If you die, humanity will lose a major power which will slow down their tower climbing speed, inevitably causing humanity to perish.(I took it a bit too far but we all know what I meant)

The classic. Authors needing an excuse just to mke the mc crashout or something. Teresa got all her skills sealed which I estimate is around 70% of her strength and acting all tough to protect a child she's never seen before. Making ennemies and getting nominated...🤦
