@Cookie Be calm and don't ask her out in situation when it may be uncomfortable for her or for you- avoid asking in other people's presence. If you're friends, I assume your conversations have casual manner, so try to keep it that way. Make sure she knows it wouldn't be a big deal if she said no. Good luck.

@cherry I don't have any experience in writing romance (the only genre I ever done was sci-fi), but as a reader I enjoy stories in which romantic love isn't the only thing that's going on. Maybe give your character some solid problem unrelated to their love life and make romance the part of the narrative later in the story? It can still be the main plot, but you'll have some opportunities to make readers invested in your characters. This way when you'll start more "feelings heavy" part of the story it'll be more realistic, it won't be just a rushed love story of some random people. And go easy on the descriptions of characters looks, it's often overdone in fiction.

Edit: You know, being relatable isn't always necessary in writing. Your work will represents your way of thinking, it's impossible to make it relatable to every reader.

@INkabiNKaDinKA Don't be terrified, everyone will be old someday (at least the lucky ones 😉) and mangas/manhwas for older readers are often quite good. Not always, but often. As a fossil, I can recommend keeping your hobbies to the adulthood, they're making life enjoyable.

@Cherry   I understand your disdain for violent criminals, it's natural. But that idea would be a bit dangerous from political power point of view. If you want opposition to be unable to do anything against current regime and be afraid of every action against you, what you could do? Criminalise them, problem solved. Sound scary if you're minority in your country.

@Wittira I'm in similar situation with my friends kids. They're nice and I wish them the best, but I don't like them in my nearest proximity. I think they can sense discomfort and always choose the person that avoid them to pester 😅

@UG Dude, run. Doing stupid tests on partner is bad as itself, but adding violence to it is plain evil. If you can, get the injuries on police report before bruises will fade.

@BiNShy True, there's some criticism from fans about problematic topics in this genre. Which makes me believe there's hope for better writing, of course if critique won't be silenced by ho*** mob.
I like good qu*** story (not so straight myself 😉 ) and s** scenes could be nice addition, but most yaoi seems oddly hetero.
