Man I love parallel scenes with what seems to be foreshadowing so much, like it's like, he has people following him because he's an arrogant f*k and she has people who are her friends basically and that's probably how they'll grow up Basically his arrogance will leave him with people he can trust but lonely (?) I think, and she gets people she can trust who will follow her whole heartedly.. (?) maybe I'm misinterpreting
@Smack my a** hmmmm idk bro, maybe because SPEED is a very limiting power?? All you can really do is emchance your physical combat through like, the speed I forgot the word, so he has like, maybe 3 moves............ Which he uses.. and the point is that he refines them?? Like if you wanna see smth where there's different forms of attack find something where's the MC's ability isn't limited to a physical constraint such as speed .. like w telekinesis u get a shitton of moves, same w ice or fire , but like making yourself buff or faster is just.. making yourself buffer or faster ! Not much you can do w it
That makes him gay or not, lowk idk what's up since I haven't finished the novel but im pretty sure there isn't a romantic ending because Elijah does end up dying, and Tess also suffers injuries which leave her unable to engage in anything like that so like, it's lowk really sad.

Elijah is totally the reincarnation, the girl was king greys past lover but she was from another nation and king grey had to kill her (not after they made out) that's why Arthur is subconsciously attracted to Elijah, Elijah is infact going to be the final love interest, which was honestly so disappointing cuz Tess and Art have sm more chemistry

so glasses guy is the reincarnation of the girl king grey killed?...
@Smack my a** the fight I believe was used as an anchor to put Arthur not only in a position where he needs to display his affection (which has previously been avoided) by making a small sacrifice (plot armour so it's small to readers but relevant to her) and also to show more about tessia, in this case her abilities and beast will, it was a good play on writing
