- It appeared to write the letters using its foot, and not its 'beak'
- Its way of talking was more feminine (and its maybe a female, if I remember correctly)

In the novel this scene was way funny:

MC kept beating him for days, without sleeping himself, the spirit kept begging, negotiating, etc, until it couldn't take it anymore, but MC kept beating it still, to the point even MC fell asleep while beating him (MC's hands kept auto-beating him, while MC was asleep). Once astonished and terrified by MC, the spirit came out.
