Him even thinking of how dangerous it must be for families to raise their children there--dude has been so domesticated ✋🏻😭 This manhwa can switch from dark to wholesome to se** to hilariously unserious in just a few panels, I can't🫠

@Once A Poetic Lys what I'm seeing right now is the ML from "Man with Ghosts" (https://mangabuddy.com/man-with-ghosts). Supernatural, insanely hot sm**, straight. Totally recommend 🤌🏻

Diah, on her part, is so brave for sharing all those things, but I agree with Eiser that she needs to face her feelings too along with the aftermath of her choices. That being said, I loved how the author finally showed Victor's feelings weren't truly one-sided all this time, and there was indeed a connection between them. It didn't feel forced or out of the blue, and to me that's to a great extent because of Diah's unawareness (or denial?) of the aforementioned feelings. I just wish she could realize that herself and talk to Victor properly. I believe that's the last thing that could save Victor. At the end of the day, all he ever did was for her, so maybe, just maybe, if he knew she cared too, he'd reconsider some things... Or maybe not. We'll see 🥺

Lastly, it was obvious from the start that Frederick had a big role to play. And the more we delved into his shady story, the more significant he became plot-wise. But I still didn't expect him to be related to Serena's parents' accident. I wonder why his aunt (from what I gathered) did that. Was it because the Serenity family was growing too powerful and needed to be stopped? Was it a personal vendetta of some sort? What if it was truly just an accident blown out of proportion so that the real villains could manipulate the truth for their benefits? I'm really curious for the explanation to all this 🍿🕶️
Can't wait for next chapter! Hopefully the wait, though worth it, won't feel too long 🙏🏻

Another illegal finale... But I can't even be mad because this story is just so freaking awesome, and I KNOW the final chapter will be sooooo worth the wait 🫡
This episode was so good. I loved the interaction between Eiser and Diah. I admire how maturely Eiser handled everything. Sometimes, people do change, and I find it so commendable of him to recognize that change in Diah and let bygones be bygones. He's also fair and honest, realising he cannot really judge her for her past choices and the means she resorted to when he himself is capable of similar behaviors and courses of action. Such a refreshing, mature interaction. Plus we've already seen so much drama, it would be too much if this scene turned into just another nasty argument where promises of revenge and eternal hatred are made. We're nearing the end so such confrontations need to be more conclusive and less dramatic.👌🏻

Look at Serena, so happy at the thought of Eiser visiting her... SHE'S SO PRECIOUS... My man, Eiser, couldn't you have gone a while later so that she was awake and saw you? 😣
And also black letter secrets WHAT??? PLEASE, NO MORE!!! WE NEED THEM HAPPY ASAP, NOT FACING MORE ISSUES✋🏻😭 I really thought an Eiser vs Victor final moment was all we had left before the sky clearing up, but there's more?? Ouf... This better be it and no more. They haven't been to he** and back and gone right back to he** for this to end painfully. I'm already feeling a bit sorry Victor's ending is doomed (and probably Diah's too), I won't accept Eiser and Serena not seeing happier days either. Please, dear author, have mercy 🥹 I don't just want a happy ending, I want it SOON too. It's been 130 chapters already, how much longer? 🥹

How ON EARTH am I supposed to recover from the last panel??? Eiser always looks so stoic, so serious, barely ever cracking a smile... But that?? That expression, full of pure pain and anguish??? It was easily one of the most heartbreaking manhwa panels I've ever seen... At this point, I'm just actively praying her grandmother wakes up and the divorce is called off. Because even though they both know about it and have "accepted" that this is their future, I just refuse to believe that after EVERYTHING they've been through -- in general but also as of late -- the divorce is the only thing waiting for them. So many things have taken unexpected turns, please let this be one more... I really need them to be happy, not in the distant future but RIGHT NOW, because I won't stand seeing any more tears from Serena, or pained expressions from Eiser... They've ached and yearned and suffered enough already...
P.S.: It probably won't happen but I hope Serena wakes up before he leaves. I want them to have a moment before the trial and everything, a proper interaction where both sides are conscious and actual words are being exchanged. I feel like they both need the comfort such a moment would give them... ❤️🩹

Top notch writing. And top notch drawing. The shift to Eiser after the lightning... Dayum🤌🏻
I loved how it was Victor who took care of the father. In a sense, it was only right considering how it was his life more damaged by him. Eiser too was traumatized but he got to get away and make a difference, live differently, better. Victor never got to do that and instead spent his entire life exposed to that horrible treatment by that horrible man. He had to be the one putting an end to this... And it's so realistic that he doesn't just turn good all of a sudden, instead maintaining his cruelty and craziness. Diah's condition shook him, made him realise some stuff -- hence his confrontation with his father -- but he remains a villain. As he should. We're talking about an adult who's spent his entire life knowing ONLY the worst. It takes much more time and motivation for him to have a complete change of heart and strive to be a better person. His father's teachings are too deeply engraved in him, and that includes his rivalry with Eiser. So Victor will probably remain the bad guy, and maybe this -- killing his father (and maybe trying to treat Diah differently when she wakes up?) -- is the only form of "redemption" we'll get to see from him before he causes more trouble for Eiser and Serena, but I personally don't mind. Because it'll be real and true to his character and his potential as it has been written so far.
I feel like next chapter will be the ultimate confrontation between the two brothers. I'm so eager to see how that'll go down, but I also miss Serena. I hope she's released soon and we get a proper reunion with her one and only husband 🥹

It was about time we got some background story into Victor and Diah's relationship, especially his side of things. I've always considered him to be well-written, but I needed something more to back this up, and this chapter was it.
I've been curious why he was so obsessed with Diah, so forceful and violent. Was it just to get back at Eiser, or had something happened between him and Diah we hadn't yet seen that made him so bitter and cruel? Or had he always been such a bad person, even as a kid, and only ever needed Diah for his (well, his disgusting father's) future plans with the family?
But the real story as he experienced it is just so sad. She was the only thing evoking some sense of humanity in him, the only ember of light in the utter darkness his horrible father turned his life into, yet it wasn't enough. He wasn't born evil but his father made sure he was made the villain from so early on, no amount of emotions he harbored for Diah could fix that. And it was particularly heartbreaking how Diah wasn't just a means to an end for the family plans, but rather everything else he did was so he can ensure she remained in his future. Because he really wanted her albeit in his own (self-)destructive, dark, and progressively toxic way. And then everything happened... For the first time ever, I felt truly sorry for him. His actions are of course still inexcusable. No matter how hard life gets or how you were raised, you always have a choice, just like the rest. It's just more difficult to make the right choice, with a history like Victor's. So he should still face every bit of the consequences for his wrongs, but in all fairness to a great extent, it wasn't all on him, especially at first. No kid should be raised to think that evil, destruction and violence is the only way to be. His father truly failed him and I hope he, before anyone else, meet his very much appropriate demise.
The romantic in me wishes for Victor to be redeemed eventually, and for his relationship with both Eiser and Diah to be fixed, but I don't know if this is possible at this point. Some stories just don't have a happy ending...
But I do hope Eiser and Serena's does 🥹🙏🏻

Can I say, for the millionth and not the last time, how much I love this manhwa? The main reason is our power couple and how both Eiser and Serena are so imperfectly beautiful and strong. Their relationship has evolved beyond my expectations (and man, I had such high expectations), every scene with them, however angsty it may be, evokes so much emotion. I truly loved Serena's selflessness and how despite all she's been through, she was worrying for him. And I love how Eiser reacted to that. He didn't make it about him, instead focused on showing her that he's taking any action necessary to help her. And he didn't just stick to those words, he then sent her the candy jar... He's always been so attentive, showing his love in his own stoic, subtle way, making sure she always feels cherished and thought of even amidst the most adverse circumstances. That's so precious because Serena doesn't just deserve that, she needs it. After all she's been through, in the past and the present, her heart longs for that unconditional love, comfort and safety. The panel with her crying as she felt overwhelmed by the comfort and care she received is proof of that... Such a beautiful story, I can't frigging wait for their happy ending 🤍
NO AMOUNT OF WORDS CAN CONVEY THE OVERWHELMING FLOW OF EMOTIONS THE LAST PANELS MADE ME FEEL😫😫😫 His dark expression twisted in pain, her hand trembling as she realizes who he is, his leaning on her shoulder, his tight grip around her that screams he never wants to let her out of his sight EVER again, her tears... My g**, they've been through so much... Please be happy for all eternity 🥺🤍
Also, KUDOS TO FREDERICK!!! I've come to really love him as a 2nd ML cause he TRULY cares, does the right thing, respects Eiser, respects Serena's choice... How he let her meet her love in this chapter, giving them privacy to reunite even fleetingly... Ahh, he's so nice but I feel so bittersweet towards him knowing he won't get his happy ending with the one he loves... I hope he's reward otherwise 🙏🏻
Another gem of a chapter. Can't wait for the reunion to properly unfold next chapter. And oh dear, are we approaching the end as I fear?? I truly don't want this to end... 🥺

Serena is truly remarkable. How many people in her shoes would rush to exploit such favorable laws and privileges? Yet here she is, cold, tired, hungry and dehydrated, on the verge of collapsing, yet still prioritizing her family over her own life. I really wish she didn't blame herself for something that was never her fault to begin with (she and Eiser are so similar in that...), but I can't not admire how strong, devoted and moral she is... That being said, I'm glad Frederick dragged her out of there and I hope the other prison is a bit better. Because if Serena is pregnant (haven't seen spoilers, I'm just assuming cause their smexy pregnant talk a while ago felt like foreshadowing), she needs to be in an as much physically friendly environment as possible...
Now, call me pathetic but I just can't help swooning over Eiser's panels😩The artist is doing such an excellent job depicting his emotions. Despair, frustration, anger, guilt, yearning,...the very much justifiable murderous intent towards his "brother"... Speaking of which, though Victor really does not deserve to be spared, Eiser just won't pull the trigger. That's something his "father" would do, and Eiser is nothing like that... Still, I hope he punches the sh** out of him though. Victor's face is literally the only place Eiser should take his frustration out on...
I hope next chapter, we see Serena freed and our beloved couple reuniting. Though I do appreciate the realism of this situation being too complicated to solve in one chapter, I do want for this to sort out quickly so that our dear characters find some peace... Eiser and Serena's reunion will be so worth the wait though 🥹

I love how this is so complicated and Eiser can't just barge in there and save her. It's very realistic. There are so many people involved, interests and motives to go through, obstacles to overcome, paperwork to investigate, even lives at stake. This can't just be solved in a couple of episodes... Really love this realistic approach. And I love how we delve into every character's mind, getting clear and deep insight into how they all operate, the dynamics between them and how these very dynamics are tested throughout the story... Man, I love this manhwa 🫠
Victor, do us a favor and just EVAPORATE INTO THIN AIR😭😭😭 Arghhh he's just so evil... He's clearly not doing this to actually get information out of her. He's just itching to hurt her because she's Eiser's wife. It's all just to get back to his little brother... Jealous, petty, insecure son of a gun 😤
I really hope Frederick finds a way around this, but for some reason I don't think he'll just turn around and start beating Victor. That will only just put not only him but also Serena in even more danger. Plus, it's only rightful that Victor gets a beating from Eiser, not anyone else... Ahhhh, Eiser, where you at??? 🥺
Anyways, the last panels gave me such unpleasant chills. The artist does such an excellent job depicting each situation and the emotions it should evoke🤌🏻
Thank you for the upload! Can't wait for more! 🙂↕️

Such a nice detail that Frederick thinks of doing this not just for Serena but also for Eiser's honor, because he (F) knows how much he (E) means to her... He's not the typical 2nd ML who will selfishly go after the FL while disregarding her actual feelings, and also doing most things out of spite and jealousy for the ML. He actually cares and even serves a purpose, especially plot-wise. It's so nice to see this, I've come to really like him. Yet another well-written character in this amazing manhwa. That being said, I fear for his end... Here's hoping I'll be proven wrong 🥺
As for Victor, arghhh, such a manipulative son of a gun. Exploiting the corrupted PM's cowardice and naivety like that... His ending better be satisfying, same for his snake of a father😤
Here's hoping next chapter we finally see how this will start to solve itself out (and at what cost😟). Another great chapter, thank you for the upload!

I blinked and this was over 🥲 Da**, I was not ready...
My final verdict is that this manhwa will always belong among the top most raw and realistic ones I've ever read. And this ending, though unexpected (hence seemingly abrupt) doesn't change that. Them running away after all was very in character and real. They've lived like this for so long, it's not easy to change your ways just like that, especially when you've just found someone who gets it, gets you. Not every story has a happy ending in the conventional, morally acceptable, hopelessly romantic way. For those two broken souls, this ending is perhaps the best they can afford to secure for themselves....
It was a memorable read 🫡

The dilemma Eiser faces is so painful, I wouldn't blame him for either decision, whether that's ignoring the father, or agreeing to his terms... But I must admit, I feel like a proud mama seeing how he stood his ground and didn't get swayed by that snake of a man. It alings with his personality and his character development so far. He's such a great ML, I can't :')
That being said, I don't think we've yet to see the last of the father. He's obviously lost his freaking mind, and in a way, he's basically the main villain. Maybe more dangerous than Victor. Victor is mainly driven by hurt pride and a thirst for revenge against Eiser. His hatred runs deep but his reasons for everything he does not so much. Though cunning, he's mainly acting on emotion, making him an opponent potentially easier to deal with, or even manipulate. But the father? He has his ideals, values, morals he's actually willing to kill his son and himself for. His devotion to his goal is unshakeable, making him instead an opponent impossibly hard to reason with. You can handle your enemy's stubbornness and hot-headedness (Victor) and use it to your advantage, but you can't easily argue with your enemy's entire belief system and life-long established convictions (father)... Ahhh, there's no way he reappeared for just two episodes to rattle Eiser up. His role is too big for that. I just hope next time we see him, that disgusting smile is wiped off his face by the very son he claims to treasure so much himself.
Go teach 'em, Eiser, sir! 🫡 But first, go get your wife!!!😩
P.S.: Man, I love Eiser-centric chapters...

So brutally raw and honest. This story, everything that's happening... At some points, it feels too surreal, too much. Like, I ask myself after each chapter "okay, this can't possibly be happening in real life". But that just comes to show how little awareness we have of the actual horrors of life, because some people do experience all that. Some people do know what it's like to have really hit rock bottom, for each day not just to feel worse than the previous but to actually be worse... I knew this would be dark, twisted, heavily psychological, but I'm so blown away by the rawness of it all... And especially their relationship. They share such a deep connection that goes far beyond their past and their relation to the dead boy. There's a profound understanding between them, a sense of companionship and mutual respect that only two truly broken, utterly fuc***-up people could ever feel. For all the confusion and hate they might harbor for each other, they relate to one another too much to ignore. Because both of them could have given up long ago, both of them wanted to. Yet they both held on, went on another day, survived against all odds, against all reason, against all will. They see one another, and for two people who've lived so long feeling like ghosts that life itself ignores, this feeling, however strange and surreal, is incredibly precious. And this is why he couldn't killed her. This is why she stays with him. This is why they feel this pull between them that they express with s**...
This is top dark psychological romance writing in my opinion, and I'll keep believing so no matter how this ends.

Okay first of all, kudos to Frederick. He never really gave the vibe of the evil 2nd ML, but he was so shady, I was struggling to trust him at some points. But I'm glad it's now clear he's on the good side. I truly hope he helps out and that it doesn't come at any cost. It'll be so sad if something bad happens to him...
And I really liked Serena getting emotional as he spoke to her. To me, this was yet another proof of how much she's grown. She's gone from a spoiled, clueless, selfish little princess to a mature, kind, thoughtful woman. She didn't act petty, hateful or arrogant. Instead she embraced and showed appreciation for Frederick's presence in her life and how much he once meant to her as a source of comfort and safety, even if the circumstances back then we're far from ideal and healthy. Even though it wasn't love on her part, he was still important to her once, and it's realistically refreshing to see her maturely acknowledging that...
As for Eiser, da**, he can never find peace, can he? I can only imagine the avalanche of negative emotions crashing down on him at the sight of his "father". And about the condition... I so don't want him to accept it and go back to this living he**, but Eiser has proven time and again how selfless he is when it comes to Serena. He puts her above all else, asking nothing in return and even leaving with less than he arrived with. So it wouldn't be unlike him if he agreed to that condition... but can his "father" even be trusted?? I can't wait to see what'll happen... I just want my power couple happy and free of their demons 🥺
