I might be playing devil's advocate here, but I don't feel as exhausted by this story as the rest, given that we don't really know the MLs backstory as well as he realized too late that she is the one going against his plans. I'm DEFINITELY not saying he is a good guy, for sure. It's just there are so many stories of murderer MLs that don't get the same negative responses from the readers like in "I failed to Oust the villain". I'm curious to see how this story changes the ML in his character development

I agree with both comments, it's upsetting to read stories like these. I know some show that the ML was always in love but in this case it's just heartbreaking because until the end of her story Sera still didn't have someone care for her.

I found it, it's in chapter 37 towards the bottom. So supposedly the witch changed her memories so she believed she regressed into the novel, as part of the bet. It allows her a new life so to speak

No I completely get it. I also think she knows that as a kid, sometimes they don't see the big picture and are more stubborn in lashing out which seems to be the case. I've done it, and then you become so guilt ridden you just want to erase the memory. Also I think she was able to get a fresh perspective through (something that I thought I saw someone say, I could be wrong) which is that she is not actually transmigrated but it was a false memory the witch used to make it seem she forgot her memories. Either way, it's a really complicated situation that I think you summarized perfectly
