I feel like she forgave him too easily. He lied to her for so long, even though there were so many opportunities for him to tell her. She was completely honest and transparent with him from the start. What was his original plan when he was going to bring her back home? Wait until she has left everything and everyone and then tell her? I assume  this "change of heart" is part of a plan he has, but if he had been more honest from the start, they could have been working together instead of him trying to save the day by "breaking up. She's more powerful and resilient than he really has given her credit for
