@Haily and here it is! the reason thousands of mangas and manhwas pass the toxic, problematic guy as THE ONE while the healthy, green flag, drama free guy is "weird" or "boring." art imitates life.

@João Paulo Lopes de fant I read it sometime ago, so I don't remember many details. But my point still stands: it is an unrealistic wish fulfilment fantasy. Probably written by a young adult who was bullied and/or cheated on in high-school and is coping. Not all of it is bad and, like I said, having bad people facing consequences is nice due to the lack of this specific genre in manga. But let's not pretend is a very good work because surely is not.

The only reason this work gets any kind of attention is because there are barely any manga where a cheating girlfriend or wife get a hefty dose of karma for it. Works where a cheating husband gets is, is basically the entirety of Josei, but wife, no.
So we have this. The karma scenes are cathartic (at least they were in the novel) but the rest of the story... The MC gets the world circling around it because he is the MC. Even the mother of the cheating girlfriend disowns her daughter because she cheated on her high-school boyfriend? Really?
The problem is that the work is no longer a story but a wish-fulfilment fantasy. I mean most of manga is, but normally is better hidden.
I was fixin' to start bitchin' but this small chapter had more growth and character development than 100 chapters of Kanojo Okaridumpsterfire...

These here are probably the main reasons that people in decent relationships have affairs.
Some of them turn their lives upside down only to find out later that the "new relationship energy" doesn't last forever and sharing a life is mostly about facing problems together and hearing the other f*t in the toilet.
