@craycray DFFJKGK right!!!!! That part was good because it was the first time we saw this side of Xielian.
Spoiler!
To think that he was nailed in a coffin for 100 years. Xielian could have escaped but instead let himself be stabbed there in the heart for that long.
Also, as a person who already read the novel to see Huacheng just be totally chill with everything especially since he's the one that has witnessed Xielian go through he**. Like being stabbed a hundred times, falling in the grave drunk, freezing from the cold mountain, being betrayed by Muqing and the other 32 officials.
I wonder where Huacheng was when Xielian was nailed in the coffin.

YESSS I think about that a lot. Like what does hua Cheng not know? Ofcourse he knows more than most because of his time as the ghost fire and wu ming but was he ever filled in about the 700 or so years when he was cultivating to meet xie Lian again? And will xie Lian ever tell him? I don't remember if he did but I can't remember xie Lian telling any one about what happened to his parents and I wish mxtx had included mu qing and feng xin finding out what happened to the king and queen after they left. I WANTED mu qing and feng xin to feel more obviously guilty and I know they helped xie Lian especially when they were pretending to be their juniors but I reallyyyy wanted a chapter where some big juicy angsty secret came clear about xie lians past infront of the entire heavenly court but that doesn't really happen 😩 ugh I love the novel so much I wish more people took time to read it because even though I love the manwha it doesn't do the novels plot justice
