@Joeyta Liverra That's what I want to ask. I've dropped so many stories, usually because of the ml, but even in the rare cases that the ml isn't the problem, there's some other red flag male character that's tormenting the fl or the author writes that the fl forgives the person/people who abused her (family etc) or the fl doesn't set hard boundaries against them etc etc. so I still end up dropping it.
I guess there's "Why Would A Villainess Need Virtue" I remember that this story satisfied me so much at first. I thought, "Now THIS is revenge". I love strategic fls, but this fl is also very skilled in combat (which is rare to see in an fl), so I also loved her revenge for that reason. It was the kind of revenge that I always wanted to see. The ml isn't as typical, but the lack of communication towards his sister irritated me a lot. At least to my memory, he's much more of a green flag. You can try that story.
