@Prinzinc I didn't say let them do it, I'm saying that you shouldn't restrict them and bluntly prohibit them everything you don't want them to do, like with the drugs example, you won't give them drugs but tell them how bad they are for you and what they do to you and not to do it to be healthy and that they can try when they are older. Its like when parents have alcoholic drinks with their freshly adult kid, you share a safe environment in where they can drink alcohol and see if they like it or not. Is not about letting them do every bad thing but explaining the pros and cons and guiding them through the correct path, over protecting is the same as not protecting, both leads the kid to a bad life, how many times have we not seen the same Hollywood outcome you are complaining about because a kid was overprotected?
But that's not the issue here, let me ask you, if we remove s3x from the world, like that doesn't exist anymore, would you still be against kid dating?
My feedback on stories are not hate.
You know I have to do this:

I already agreed with you that the role of parents isn't to "bluntly prohibit" but include the 3 parental jobs of:

1) Education + 2) Restriction + 3) Positive/Negative reinforcement = For the sake of protection (i.e. good long term outcomes)

Education is obviously included but you seem to think that I'd somehow not educate my children when I'm restricting them from something (like something you might see in a movie).  However, education is only a single piece of parenting and it's the only 1/3rd of the parenting model approved by Hollywood whereas the other 2/3rds have had many TV shows and movies made about how bad parenting restrictions and negative reinforcement is on your children's outcomes.  It's simply not true except in the most extreme edge cases where a father or mother are beating their children and locking them in the basement or something.

"if we remove s3x from the world, like that doesn't exist anymore, would you still be against kid dating?"
The whole discussion is about outcomes in the real world so answering this "what if" doesn't hold any value.  What if the sun turned pink and music came out of your bu**?  So what?  What does that have to do with what we are talking about?
