This is somehow way more refreshing than how people described it in the novel. People only explained to me that in the novel she was genuinely in love with Izek and did everything to get closer to him. From befriending his sister to planting servants (the nany) in their household. Some people even stood up for her saying she was doing everything out of love but the siblings always kept her at arms length and here comes some random woman whose suddenly winning everyone's affection within the household.
Here you can see she is obviously greedy, uses those around her as pawns, manipulates others and she doesn’t even see it as her doing something wrong.
