Callisto orders him to gather the magicians to teleport himself and Penelope there. Penelope is shocked as Callisto had told her he couldn't use his imperial magic and he says the magic around the island has weakened since she broke the mirror. She realizes he lied to her and he tells her not to be mad - if they went back they wouldn't have been able to enjoy their time together. He tells her that just like she had a dream to be an archaeologist he wanted to have a dream for a short time (living on the island together). Once she takes his hand they are teleported to the northern camp.

They are teleported to their camp in a swamp by a forest near the northern border where Cedric greets them. Callisto is furious that they were teleported there and not somewhere safer. Cedric's embarrassed because he had just done what he was told and the magicians are now exhausted from the transportation spell. But Callisto is worried in case they are attacked and Penelope gets hurt. Callisto calls the soldiers and tells them to greet the queen Penelope and protect her with their lives. The soldiers are shocked asking if he was married and comment that there's a woman who will have him. As Callisto tells her how they're men he's spent his life with on the battlefield she turns to walk away he grabs her and notices her face is red.

He asks her why and she tells him if he keeps saying strange things she'll look after herself. He apologizes as he didn't realize their relationship was a secret. Penelope mentally screams 'when did she agree to that.' He apologizes for taking her here and her heart begins to throb. She feels everyone gaze on her and quickly shakes him off asking how do they get back to the capital.
