Penelope and Callisto teleport to the edge of the island but can't go any further. Penelope wonders how they can get off it but Callisto tells her he wouldn't mind living here with her. The royal family have a magic that allows them to teleport to the imperial palace in an emergency but due to the strong magic around the island, Callisto can't use it so they're both stuck. They sit together on the sand watching the waves.

Penelope asks him where the golden fang was in the imperial palace. He tells her it's the emperor's treasure. In order to prove your the emperor you need to have it. He tells her the story of the founding of the empire and how the dragon left his fang to his descendant who became the first emperor. The fang is kept in the imperial orb that the emperor always carries. He asks her whether she's planning to kill the emperor but she tells him the Leyla is targeting it so the emperor is at risk. He tells her he'll kill the emperor and she can kill the Leyla and then he'll give her the fang and she can become emperor.

A loud noise rings out and Callisto pulls out a crystal ball. Cedric demands to know where he is as the rebels are attacking. He managed to win for now but he reckons Callisto will kill him with a heart attack one day and to have mercy. Callisto tries to pass the role of overseeing the army to Cedric because he's busy. Cedric reports that the rebels have retreated over the boarder but reckons it's still not safe as there are Delmans.

Callisto orders him to gather the magicians to teleport himself and Penelope there. Penelope is shocked as Callisto had told her he couldn't use his imperial magic and he says the magic around the island has weakened since she broke the mirror. She realizes he lied to her and he tells her not to be mad - if they went back they wouldn't have been able to enjoy their time together. He tells her that just like she had a dream to be an archaeologist he wanted to have a dream for a short time (living on the island together). Once she takes his hand they are teleported to the northern camp.

They are teleported to their camp in a swamp by a forest near the northern border where Cedric greets them. Callisto is furious that they were teleported there and not somewhere safer. Cedric's embarrassed because he had just done what he was told and the magicians are now exhausted from the transportation spell. But Callisto is worried in case they are attacked and Penelope gets hurt. Callisto calls the soldiers and tells them to greet the queen Penelope and protect her with their lives. The soldiers are shocked asking if he was married and comment that there's a woman who will have him. As Callisto tells her how they're men he's spent his life with on the battlefield she turns to walk away he grabs her and notices her face is red.

He asks her why and she tells him if he keeps saying strange things she'll look after herself. He apologizes as he didn't realize their relationship was a secret. Penelope mentally screams 'when did she agree to that.' He apologizes for taking her here and her heart begins to throb. She feels everyone gaze on her and quickly shakes him off asking how do they get back to the capital.

Where Eckles kidnaps Penelope. I heard that part was coming up but I'm worried they're planning to skip over it to save time.
