@KJMLove You made several points that I completely agree with and I apologize for putting you in a position where you had to reveal your identity publically. For that I am deeply sorry. In your original comment by referring gyujin as gyujin it came off that way. (Next time since gyujin is an antagonist/ second lead(not really but technically) you could just title the character as such, which would universalize your point). I think it was unnecessary to bring up the alpha/omega dynamic, but I can see why you brought it up and I understand to a degree your point. But I feel like there might be a chance you're not thoroughly reading my previous comments, as something I brought up is that you're generalizing every Yaoi/bl with this dynamic. And though to a degree what you said had truth, you're overall excluding the huge community and somewhat big quantity of bl/yaoi with the very dynamic that you seek. The reason the dynamic that you hate is so apparent is because the majority of bl/yaoi was originating based off of shoujo/ girls romance during the 1900s and most bottom roles were based off a very feminine and beautiful character and a real man at the time. As well as the fact that these dynamics and stereotypes are very apparent in EA and Asia overall, especially since a majority of authors are women who enforce that dynamic due to fetishization. Causing a normalization of this dynamic. And by no means am I attempting to "justify" this dynamic since it is definitely something I'm not a fan of either. I personally enjoy character building and deep lore when it comes to bl especially with a more realistic dynamic and characters, and these stories tend to shalowize the characters. Example of what I like: lost in the cloud (slow burn psychological drama).
