It has a continues cycle, it is painful and you are more likely in heat due to the hormones although unlike menstraution there is no such thing as menopause. They basically have s** to soothe the these hormones, comparable to taking pills when you are experiencing cramps on your menstraution. These flower maidens are basically flowers.. they're beautiful and they bloom until they just rot. Making flower maidens short lived. Just like an actual flower. This is why the main character is trying to find a solution to get rid of the flower maiden curse.
