That little bit didn't make much sense, why the he** do they need that disk thing to summon a Golem?
oh well, it's as it's for this author, it kind of goes against all other mangas / stories be it western or asian, usually Golems are just summoned, there's no need for some "Disk" to load stuff into it, to then summon a golem, such a convoluted way.
It's not like if magic golems made sense in the first place! 😁 I mean, you do realize this is not a historical but a fantastical manga, right? The logic is whatever the author wants it to be as long as it is coherent with itself.
@Myself I can't really agree with that, which is weird... since I usually do. But authors should only do whatever they want with creations they themselves created. You can get creative with it, like how authors tend to turn dragons into lolis, but at the end of the day, it'll still be a Dragon based on various forms of lore. You don't take angels, and make change their entire lore. Just create your own thing at that point. Like the stories that uses Greek mythology as a theme. It should follow those characters actual mythos. And Golems has its own myths, and steep culture from actual religions. The logic should follow that, if not... create your own coherent species
I fail to understand your point. All I get is a "what the author does is bad if I don't like it" vibe. I'm not sure why Harlock says "it didn't make much sense" instead of just "I don't like it". "I don't like it" is a very strong argument to be irritated about it and express it. "It doesn't make sense" is complete BS.
@Myself yeah, I didn't mind it's author's choice to come up with his own ideas of summoning golems. I just found it extremely cumbersome, having to go farm each piece, then put it together, then finally summon it. Definitely not a type of magic you can use in an emergency.
@Harlock I guess they wanted to make them "magic tools" in this story, which uses a "soft" power system in every sense. I guess this is how the people of this world came up with making and controlling them. Less arbitrary than some of the earlier inconsistencies with how MC uses his own power.
@JPANIME Are you saying that Tolkien did it poorly in LotR? Dwarves and Elves as concept existed way before him (~500 years before, in Middle age), and he just reshaped them in what decided
