Spoiler!
Seeing Varya anxious, Phileo comforted her gently. He told her not to think only about dangerous things and instead focus on simple happy thoughts, like food, clothes, birds singing in the morning, or snacks she could eat with Leo. His calm words helped Varya relax and smile again 🤭🤭 Leo, however, felt annoyed watching the two adults act so affectionate while forgetting she was right there with them 🤣
✕To get back at them, Leo revealed something embarrassing. She told Varya that Varya had almost rejected Phileo because she thought he still loved Leo’s biological mother, Regina. Phileo looked disgusted and explained that Regina was basically like a sister to him because they grew up together. He denied ever loving her romantically. Leo then shocked Varya even more by revealing that she was not Phileo’s biological daughter. Varya was completely stunned by the truth 👀👀
Later that night, Phileo and Leo explained everything to Varya. They told her how Regina ran away with a mysterious knight, how Phileo first met Leo in the orphanage, how badly the orphanage workers treated her, and how Connie’s true identity was actually Saura. The biggest shock for Varya was learning that the “mysterious knight” was actually Remus Olore who Leo’s biological father. Leo spoke coldly about Lemus and said he was barely worth calling a father. Phileo openly called him a criminal and even discussed ways to punish him if necessary. Leo eagerly talked about becoming stronger so she could someday take revenge on him herself. Their calm attitude shocked Varya. Unlike them, she became furious and heartbroken after hearing what happened to Leo. She could not understand how someone could betray a woman, abandon his child, and cause so much suffering.
Varya became so angry that she truly wanted to kill Lemus herself. Tears filled her eyes as she imagined everything Leo had suffered through. Phileo gently held her hands and thanked her for caring about Leo so deeply. Leo hugged Varya tightly and thanked her too. Leo explained that although learning the truth about her birth once hurt her deeply, she had healed over time because she had Phileo beside her. In the end, she believed that being Phileo’s daughter was what truly mattered.
I like to post spoilers for the stories I find interesting because I don't have much time to read novel due to busy schedule
