Comment on ChapterMercenary Enrollment - Chapter 74
Y'know, the more I think about it, the more inconsistent it becomes. For a action series with so many fighting scenes, how do these "prefessionals" not have defenses set up for counterattacks? Like its not even that hard to defend a left hook after throwing a right jab (or cross idk). And why's a "professional" going for a takedown like a god**** zombie??? Surely the professionals also aren't going full drunk mode with only haymakers fighting style. And these guys are trained to take hits, how are they all going down with a single punch? And fon't get me started on the knife fights, those are just a whole another world of inconsistencies. (Holy essay is over, now I can continue enjoying ts)
I absolutely refuse to read yaoi or yuri and I hate bad translations. At least show some effort and write your translations in english.

@Dodo its less "not have set up counterattacks" and more "mc is too fast for counterattack". He is literally in the prime of physical form with a very brutal training background. It has been pointed out many times that most bodyguard just go to facilities like this one to train and get certificated, which does not prepare them for military and mercenaries of Mc and the other numbers level.
Even if trying to point out 'experience' as factor, the mc has literally a decade of experience with many more missions and bodycounts on his belt.
@Ianes Grécia ok well, no? Cuz this has nothing to do with experience and as long as he doesn't have supernatural speed or is able to hit hard without any momentum from using his body, the attacks he makes are easily counterable for a "pro". My guy is coming onto the mc with a straight, and the mc dodges to the side, what comes next is obvious, its a hook. Its literally like a textbook answer. He's not using anything crazy like a kick, knee, elbow or a takedown.  For example watch the ufc and the knockdown hits usually (not always) have some sort of crazy setup or prediction behind them, its not luck or mindless fighting, there's strategy to this stuff.
@Dodo 'has nothing to do with experience' and you lost me there. Even ufc figthers would disagree with you here.
@Ianes Grécia yes, this situation has nothing to do with it. The bodyguard should be trained enough in hand to hand combat to be called a "pro". So why is he going down like a cannon fodder??? Having your guard up even while attacking and not overextending are literally the most important parts of fighting, so why is his first ever attack disregarding both of these? He's charging in like he drank two bottles of vodka and like its the first time he's in a fight. What I'm saying is that just experience doesn't justify this situation, if you're gonna make him this pathetic then don't even call him a pro in the first place, he has no difference than a person with zero combat training.
@Dodo ok let me answer it for you. Our guy MC is literally a mercenary and a trained killer. So obviously he has the most experience in fighting rather than a normal bodyguard who trained for protecting clients. In this series the numbered people are considered as the best of best assassins ever produced. So it's obvious that he is going into combat in full kill mode rather than underestimating and wasting time thinking that may be they are so or so. Hope this helps
@Dodo simple answer ijin was trained to kill they were not, also training since he was so young had a part in this
@Dodo  holy sh** you're so fking stupid it's hilarious
@Uzumaki Luffy yes I know that part. I am not against the idea of ijin being able to win against these people. I am against the idea of ijin being able to one shot all of them. These people are at the top of the bodyguard industry, which is not an easy feat and they need to have considerable skill for it. You can't really defuse a threat without knowing how to fight properly. Thats where I have a problem with. Ijin isn't going for something unexpected like the throat or ba*** or even the liver, they should be trained enough to at least defend for a few hits.
@Dodo ???? didnt they like just explain why that is? ijin being a mecenary and what not, hes able to one shot people cause hes a MECENARY and one of the best at that, its clear he knows where to hit and how hard to knock them out in one hit because part of the training will probably be taking care of the enemy as fast and make as little sound as possible.
you could compare it bodybuilders and constrution workers at first youd think the bodybuilders would be stronger but its actually the construction workers that are stronger, the only reason why youd expect the bodybuilders to win is because you dont know what construction workers actually do
@Bobo ok aight sure cool. Cool. I give up man. Ts is as pointless as arguing if one piece is good. Just enjoy the show at your own pace and I'll do the same myself. Thanks for the explanation either way.
