@Dodo its less "not have set up counterattacks" and more "mc is too fast for counterattack". He is literally in the prime of physical form with a very brutal training background. It has been pointed out many times that most bodyguard just go to facilities like this one to train and get certificated, which does not prepare them for military and mercenaries of Mc and the other numbers level. Even if trying to point out 'experience' as factor, the mc has literally a decade of experience with many more missions and bodycounts on his belt.

Cuz this has nothing to do with experience and as long as he doesn't have supernatural speed or is able to hit hard without any momentum from using his body, the attacks he makes are easily counterable for a "pro". My guy is coming onto the mc with a straight, and the mc dodges to the side, what comes next is obvious, its a hook. Its literally like a textbook answer. He's not using anything crazy like a kick, knee, elbow or a takedown. For example watch the ufc and the knockdown hits usually (not always) have some sort of crazy setup or prediction behind them, its not luck or mindless fighting, there's strategy to this stuff.
