@Eustass90 Law or alternatively their family was specifically picked because the only persons who knew who the MC was died. Cause th point of the trial was to be a commoner.

I think there were multiple families that agreed to the marriage and then they picked that family because the only one who Knew about the ye family died

@Sawgking21 i don't thinks so, many families knew about the marriage proposal, but none agreed, only the Old Man did, but died so now nobody know the real reason why he became the son-in-law of that family. that's how i saw it, but i could be wrong

@Eustass90 Law I think it's because only the old man knew about the ye family and in the past old man worked for the Ye family and when he was retired due to an illness then the Ye family proposed marriage btw their grandchildren. So the old man agreed.
