Comment on ChapterWet Sand - Chapter 55
For all the Jo supporters out there:
All Jo cares abt is HAVING Ian. He's manipulative and obsessive, he admittedly WANTS Ian all for himself, hence why he forces himself into his life AND body. Tj CARES abt Ian and genuinely WANTS TO BE WITH IAN, but he gives him space. Tj "stalks" Ian to make sure he's safe since he's an ex gang member and someone tried killing him be4, Ian is also an ex hard drugs addict, as u js saw, and Tj has done nothing but stay by his side making sure he recovers and doesn't relapse again. Tj sent Ian to prison bc he knew that's what he would've wanted after Ian admittedly said that he must've been broken for not feeling anything after killing that dude in self defense. Tj breaking his legs was an accident, and we know now it had something to do with him planning on getting drugs, though were not sure if thats the case yet.
Only reason Ian wants to leave Tj, and you'll see this in the upcoming chapters, is bc he has admittedly said before that he is scared of hurting what he loves, and since Tjs scar was semi Ians fault, hes reminded of his fears every time he sees TJ. MEANING HE LOVES TJ.

Tj has completely given up on his health, career and dreams to have the money and power to protect Ian. Which youll see in the next chapter or the one after that.

@Aster that doesn't justify any of the things TJ has done to Ian. I don't doubt that they love each other, but their love is very unhealthy and full of betrayal and trauma. Neither TJ nor Jo is good for Ian. They all need to leave each other alone.
@BeautyIsPain What exactly is there to justify ? Ian himself says that everybody left his side except TJ when he was going through his drug abuse, so how is there betrayal? Also the times trauma in Ian is expressed, (like when he looks back at a past event) is when Tj is getting hurt. Tjs reason for still being in the gang is to protect Ian, Ian can sense that. Hence why he feels like they need space, bc ultimately Ian doesn't want Tj getting more hurt bc of him. I think that's the only real reason why they're so on and off, bc on top of that it's not like they can date, we alr saw how Ian gets treated for being ho**.
@Aster Ian's drug addiction is no excuse for the cruel things that TJ has done to him. TJ may have stayed by Ian's side when he was at his lowest and helped him get clean, but that does not justify TJ setting him up to get jumped, which resulted in him falling from a balcony and breaking his leg. Just as he was being scouted by universities for his dirt biking skills, might I add. It also does not justify him sending Ian to prison. I read one of your comments that said Ian asked to go to prison. He absolutely did not ask for that. He had no idea that he could have beaten that charge with a self defense plea. He felt guilty, yes, but TJ withheld the the information that the lawyers gave him and sent that boy to prison for 2 years just so that he could be indebted to TJ and the gang. I don't care how much he helped Ian during his addiction, there is no excuse or justification for that.
@BeautyIsPain   Never did I say that Ian asked to go to prison. I said that's what Ian would've wanted. That was actually confirmed when Ian went to the persons grave to pay his respects. There he tells Jo that he went to prison for it, and Ian STILL thinks that he's a bad person for killing them. Ian never expresses guilt, that is the exact reason Ian was  sent to prison. Ian felt like he was a horrible person that needed to go through a punishment for not feeling anything after killing the dude; hence why Tj thought of what Ian said before he told the lawyer's to give Ian two years, the minimum sentence. That was in no means to hide him from what was going on in the gang, bc Ian doesn't care as long as TJ is okay, and bc all we know TJ has been working for is to insure Ian's safety, reasonably so after mans almost got killed.

As for Ian breaking his leg, that was an accident. This happened around some  time after Ian quit doing drugs, and Tj had already won some power in the gang. Ever since then Tj has kept ppl following Ian and keeping Tj updated, meaning that if Ian was drunk, and they knew something was up, told Tj about it and Tj told them to restrain him, Ian was most likely about to get drugs or do something that required such thing. We already know how cautious Tj has been around Ian, so it's out of character to assume he'd do it out of malicious intents.

p.s. pls tell me more abt the universities scouting Ian for his biking, bc at this time he's past 18, but when he was 18 he was very much involved in the gang so. and also that injury couldn't have made it impossible for ian to continue biking, he still can bike; that's why tj wanted to add a mechanic area for bikes in the house, he probably doesn't bike now bc he doesn't have the money to buy one as he's wants to leave ny and works as a mechanic.
@Aster Sorry, I must've misread what you wrote then. I still disagree though lol. Ian feeling guilty for taking a human life does not equate to him wanting to go to prison. And even if he did feel like he deserved to go to prison, it was not TJ's decision to make for him. TJ had no right to do that, especially since he did not discuss that with Ian beforehand. And let's be completely honest, TJ's motivation for sending Ian to prison was not noble. He did not do it because he wanted Ian to atone; he did it to keep Ian indebted to him because he feared that Ian would leave. TJ literally says that.

And although Ian breaking his leg was an accident, it was still TJ's fault. If he hadn't sent those guys to "restrain" Ian, he never would have gotten into a fight and fell in the first place. That incident had nothing to do with drugs. Ian was being sponsored to do dirt biking. He was leaving to go to Malibu the next day, and then he broke his leg and lost his sponsorship. It's in chapter 17. Although, TJ did not foresee anything like that happening to Ian, he knew Ian would fight and probably get in trouble, which would jeopardize his sponsorship.

TJ's desire to keep Ian by his side has led him to do some unforgivable things that ruined Ian's life. He is not good for him. They don't need to be together.
@BeautyIsPain I agree that Tj shouldn't have made that decision himself, Ian should've been the one to say it, but ik that Ian isn't stupid either. Im very confident that Ian knew he could've pleaded non guilty and win bc the incident was self defense. I also have to disagree when you say that Ian feels guilty, because he doesn't, and he makes it clear a few times by insinuating that he's broken or that something in incredibly wrong with him for not feeling a thing, not even guilt. That is the factor of which Ian is sent to prison. Knowing this, when Ian visits the dude's grave, he doesn't express discontentment or injustice when mentioning his time in prison. He expresses it in a way that insinuates that he doesn't think his punishment was enough.

I made a little mistake in the comment you replied to, where im directing the cause of Ians injury to him getting drugs; but in my og comment i was insinuating that these could've been correlated due to the timeline. We don't exactly know why Tj paid the guys to restrain him, we js know that he was drunk somewhere, on a second floor; and that this happened during his recovery period after doing hard drugs. Nonetheless, Ian falling off the building couldn't have been foreseen, it was an accident that Tj tried apologizing for, which Ian didn't allow. So instead, Tj buys a big house in Malibu, with a big garage with a designated area for Ians bikes, and at one point invites Ian to Malibu.
lol it said comment was too long so
@BeautyIsPain pt2 lmao, im so sorry but yk how complex this manhwa is 😭

I will not deny that Tj is the possessive type, but it's not to Jo's level (for a comparison.) Tj doesn't actively try to keep Ian from seeing other people, all he told Ian was to think of him when he came lol. I think its reasonable Tj wants to keep Ian close, as he has expressed that Ian is a very dear person to him, stronger than that of a family, and so i believe his emotions towards Ian leaving him stem from fear. Onn the other hand, you have Jo who actively shares thoughts of possession and ownership of Ian.

I don't want to spoil you what happens in the upcoming chapters (i read a few more in spanish.) But they have key scenes that i would love to use for this argument; nonetheless I really do respect your interpretation and time for explaining it to me, as this is a very complex story, and I can tell you have taken the time to analyze such complexity and form ur own valuable opinion. 💋💋💋
@BeautyIsPain from whan i sow this author tell us some things wich seems to be in one mood , then after she teach us in detail the facts  you can see them with other eyes. i am sure of this, doyak will explain to us in detail what she told us in a few frames of chaptrers, you can tell for sure in those chapters we truly didn't understand so well what TJ did , i think doyak told us only a few frames for then in the future tell us all in detail and pheraps we will see in reality what TJ did. and iven TJ did something for restrain Ian with him, Ian knew it very well but he passed over. is a old thing. only one thing between the others TJ did and is doing only for Ian's sake. in fact after thought in his hotel he was ASKING HIMself what was he doing alkl this time and for Ian's sake he pheraps decided to let Ian go ..... but we well see this beautiful story is giving me a lot of emotions and never prevedeible facts
@Aster I like talking with you because you actually take the time to read my comments and respond clearly without being rude or angry lol. Thank you for that. It can be hard to talk to people on here sometimes, especially when we have opposing views.

That being said, I still disagree with you lol. But since you have read ahead, maybe you know something I haven't found out yet. I guess I just can't get past the things TJ did to Ian. Neither one of them are perfect by any means. Both of them have made mistakes. I just feel like TJ has hurt Ian, while Ian has mostly hurt himself. Their love is very twisted and unhealthy. I'd like to see them remain friends, but let go of their romantic/sexual relationship. Unless they both do extensive therapy, they are going to continue to hurt each other due to their past.
