@Aster Sorry, I must've misread what you wrote then. I still disagree though lol. Ian feeling guilty for taking a human life does not equate to him wanting to go to prison. And even if he did feel like he deserved to go to prison, it was not TJ's decision to make for him. TJ had no right to do that, especially since he did not discuss that with Ian beforehand. And let's be completely honest, TJ's motivation for sending Ian to prison was not noble. He did not do it because he wanted Ian to atone; he did it to keep Ian indebted to him because he feared that Ian would leave. TJ literally says that.

And although Ian breaking his leg was an accident, it was still TJ's fault. If he hadn't sent those guys to "restrain" Ian, he never would have gotten into a fight and fell in the first place. That incident had nothing to do with drugs. Ian was being sponsored to do dirt biking. He was leaving to go to Malibu the next day, and then he broke his leg and lost his sponsorship. It's in chapter 17. Although, TJ did not foresee anything like that happening to Ian, he knew Ian would fight and probably get in trouble, which would jeopardize his sponsorship.

TJ's desire to keep Ian by his side has led him to do some unforgivable things that ruined Ian's life. He is not good for him. They don't need to be together.

@BeautyIsPain I agree that Tj shouldn't have made that decision himself, Ian should've been the one to say it, but ik that Ian isn't stupid either. Im very confident that Ian knew he could've pleaded non guilty and win bc the incident was self defense. I also have to disagree when you say that Ian feels guilty, because he doesn't, and he makes it clear a few times by insinuating that he's broken or that something in incredibly wrong with him for not feeling a thing, not even guilt. That is the factor of which Ian is sent to prison. Knowing this, when Ian visits the dude's grave, he doesn't express discontentment or injustice when mentioning his time in prison. He expresses it in a way that insinuates that he doesn't think his punishment was enough.

I made a little mistake in the comment you replied to, where im directing the cause of Ians injury to him getting drugs; but in my og comment i was insinuating that these could've been correlated due to the timeline. We don't exactly know why Tj paid the guys to restrain him, we js know that he was drunk somewhere, on a second floor; and that this happened during his recovery period after doing hard drugs. Nonetheless, Ian falling off the building couldn't have been foreseen, it was an accident that Tj tried apologizing for, which Ian didn't allow. So instead, Tj buys a big house in Malibu, with a big garage with a designated area for Ians bikes, and at one point invites Ian to Malibu.
lol it said comment was too long so
@BeautyIsPain pt2 lmao, im so sorry but yk how complex this manhwa is 😭

I will not deny that Tj is the possessive type, but it's not to Jo's level (for a comparison.) Tj doesn't actively try to keep Ian from seeing other people, all he told Ian was to think of him when he came lol. I think its reasonable Tj wants to keep Ian close, as he has expressed that Ian is a very dear person to him, stronger than that of a family, and so i believe his emotions towards Ian leaving him stem from fear. Onn the other hand, you have Jo who actively shares thoughts of possession and ownership of Ian.

I don't want to spoil you what happens in the upcoming chapters (i read a few more in spanish.) But they have key scenes that i would love to use for this argument; nonetheless I really do respect your interpretation and time for explaining it to me, as this is a very complex story, and I can tell you have taken the time to analyze such complexity and form ur own valuable opinion. 💋💋💋
