Okay, I'll hedge by saying that no experience is held solely by one group and that I've definitely seen cis women (women who were identified as female at birth) with bodies like Hana's, but also… major trans girl vibes from Hana. I've thought so ever since she said "Holding flowers really do give you that sense of being a girl" in the first chapter.

Perhaps she thinks she doesnt look 'girly' or 'femmine' enough. As u can see she has a low self esteem
@Ulala not exactly trans, it's just she never been really viewed as a girl despite being one and her low self esteem kinda makes it worse. So doing feminine stuff makes her feel more girly.
i agree with the other comments. As you can see in this chapter, the other boys dont necessarily see her as a "girl" too. They were relieved that its "just" tabata who heard them talking. And thats why Tabata was touched when Ueno said she IS a girl and gave her the umbrella 🥰
