I don't really think Jaekyung is a bad guy, I think he just doesn't exactly know how to express his feelings so he acts violent. It may be cause of an abusive relationship in the past or having abusive parents since you could see pretty well that he can be nice and it seems that he may even start catching feelings for Dan but just doesn't know how to actually act and like, use them
@Ella he doesn't look like a bad guy NOW but abuse is abuse and we CAN'T romantisize it whatsoever. The fact that he's nice to him doesn't change the fact that... He has commited a crime in the past. That doesn't really happen irl either unless they're both just mentally ill and decide to stay together. Normalising SA is insane and we all know it
@Ella the ab-sed becomes the ab-ser could definitely be true for him. BUT he litterly sa'd Kim dan and has verbally, financially and physically ab-sed him as well. It's no excuse for anything he has done. My guess is that he wanted to become famous to fill the void in himself. It's kinda crazy how normalised this stuff is in bl, especially because of the amount of like 13 year olds that read this kinda stuff and think it's normal and don't see the red flags in realtionships. No hate to you through, I just don't think we should be saying he isn't a bad person for what he's done to Kim.
@Eh. Totally agree with you that it shouldn't be romanticized! I just saw many comments from people that were hating a lot on him and just wanted to make a statement on how he may have had personal issues in the past therfore that's the reason for his behavior
@goofball I am not saying that either, I just wanted to make a statement of how some should also consider that most abusive people don't get born with it but it mostly happens from own situations, as for myself I don't think there are good or bad people, you make good and bad decisions in life so I think as a person if you get through to him he has a lot of nice things in him but he covers it up with his abusive and insane self to use it like a self protection from others
@Ella i personally think that he has gone through a lot, the author just doesn't want to tell us that yet. But yeah, not all abusive people are going to be bad for forever, some of them will change for the better. From what i know of, a lot of them have had a rough childhood. But that ofc doesn't mean that we excuse and forgive his actions. It's just the way that it's pictured here, it's kinda bad but idk
