He is confronted with a vision of his sister something he knows is fake, yet cannot bring himself to destroy. His emotional attachment overrides his judgment, leaving him vulnerable and momentarily abandoning his mission to rescue Arel. At the same time, Arel wanders alone through a dark space guided only by a faintly glowing compass. Fear and doubt creep in as she worries about Valar and she thinks about her complicated feelings toward him as a father figure. The darkness begins to exploit her past trauma, calling her by her old name and dragging her into memories of her previous life, her failure as a violinist and the emotional abandonment by her mother.

These memories unravel her sense of self-worth, reminding her that she lived only for others and was discarded when she failed. As the illusion deepens, Arel relives the pivotal moment of her life of freezing on stage, losing her ability to play, and being coldly abandoned by her mother. The weight of rejection, loneliness, and longing consumes her. Even after death, she still yearns for her mother’s love, unable to let go. The darkness feeds on these feelings, convincing her that she is unlovable and alone, tempting her to give up and disappear. Just as she begins to succumb, a voice breaks through Pession calling her name. At first she believes it’s another illusion, but the compass reacts, and light overshadows the darkness. Pession reaches her, cutting through the illusion and pulling her back. In that moment, he becomes her salvation, offering a hand and a smile as he finally reaches her and calls out, “Arel, I’m here to pick you up.” 🥹🥹
I like to post spoilers for the stories I find interesting because I don't have much time to read novel due to busy schedule you will find me in most romantic historical manhwa comment sections
