Cuz the son had more holy power than his dad, by age 2. So, to not kill the bio son, it was ordered to found a commonor with blond of silver hair and IMMENSE divine power, which is the ML. <br />So now that bio son has a rival to the throne, and they will have to wait until the emperor dies, for the throne to belong to someone. So the dad got what he wanted, which is to keep the throne the longest time possible.
