@Mioumiou I'm pretty sure she was never interested in being empress either. She's committing to being empress now because she no longer holds any affection for Alec (platonic or otherwise) due to his actions, but also doesn't really have any alternative avenue in life due to her prior status. I don't think she married him for the sole goal of becoming empress, though.
