I think he didn't wanna talk much about his family , he just wanted to escape reallity, find comfort in suae. She was his gf he could've talked when it hurts , before things went south too right. As for the phone call i agree, she didnt pick coz she didnt know how to comfort him , they both knew the affair before yet didnt talk about it. He didnt know how to open up n she didnt know what to do all of a sudden. Now i doubt did he actually love her or was he using her (10 yrs ago) ....
@Hinata bro, idk either I want to say it was very unlike him to leave without a word with how the author portrayed him in prior chapters. We dont know if his mother is involved in this or not because she didn't she get admitted to the hospital. Maybe I remember wrong. I can say it was an overwhelming time for him, but a word could have been said, especially after all they went through together. I'm sure she would have understood if he told her why he was leaving. I think the dude just didn't want to deal with it or think she won't understand or make it difficult for him to leave as it's better to just avoid it than deal with it. Idk anymore. Who knows what the author has in mind its gonna go two ways either they talk and get together or separate ways, and no couple in the end. Ig we wait for tmrw chapter if there is one
