Fake Aeryn's former caretaker revealed the entire scheme under torture. Real Aeryn visited Fake Aeryn in the jail and made Fake Aeryn keep the healing stone, so she could grow up normally and live a life apart from the person who used her. Even though what she did was reprehensible in many ways, everyone seems to collectively agree she was a victim and wasn't subjected to the same torture her caretaker was, just imprisoned until things were sorted out.
