Fake Aerin suffered from a mysterious anti-aging disease, which Dennigan also has. It basically freezes your age at a moment in time. It's not something that can be typically recognized, but he did based on how she treated the young men around her and she's actually around 20 years old.
I like to post spoilers for the stories I find interesting because I don't have much time to read novel due to busy schedule you will find me in most romantic historical manhwa comment sections

Fake Aeryn's former caretaker revealed the entire scheme under torture. Real Aeryn visited Fake Aeryn in the jail and made Fake Aeryn keep the healing stone, so she could grow up normally and live a life apart from the person who used her. Even though what she did was reprehensible in many ways, everyone seems to collectively agree she was a victim and wasn't subjected to the same torture her caretaker was, just imprisoned until things were sorted out.
