Nah, not because of racism. It sounds annoying. It would be better if it was dark emperor, emperor of darkness, king in black, master of darkness, dark magician, king from the darkness, lord of black or king of the black.

@Book Sounds like one of the ancient ways of naming bad things, like the floating castle of ebony towers called "The Black Omen", or the spellsword of darkness being referred as "The Black Emperor", meanwhile beings of good get names like "The white priestess" or "the white fortress", they just didn't think that much while naming mages in this world, so "The Black King" it is... magic color+king rank... funny enough, if you mix the primary colors you get white, not black.

After playing Signalis and listening to Agro Squirrel narrate what I believe is called Utopia Prime, King in Black makes my skin crawl. King in Yellow's flexing his messed up interplanetary eldritch empire in those titles. Makes one wonder if Black has the authority to claim dungeons though rather than close them since resources are needed to rechallenge G0D and him throwing a tantrum at the start of round two about stolen territory would be hilarious.

He is the beginning and end of all existence. The eternal darkness that everything came from and everything will be go back to one day.
