Nah, not because of racism. It sounds annoying. It would be better if it was dark emperor, emperor of darkness, king in black, master of darkness, dark magician, king from the darkness, lord of black or king of the black.

After playing Signalis and listening to Agro Squirrel narrate what I believe is called Utopia Prime, King in Black makes my skin crawl. King in Yellow's flexing his messed up interplanetary eldritch empire in those titles. Makes one wonder if Black has the authority to claim dungeons though rather than close them since resources are needed to rechallenge G0D and him throwing a tantrum at the start of round two about stolen territory would be hilarious.

@Book bro. I urge you not to read "The Second Life Ranker". The ultimate G** of that sereis is called "The Black King". He is called so because he is the void itself. He is the beginning and end of all existence. The eternal darkness that everything came from and everything will be go back to one day.
