@Mizispink_strapon in 1861 slavery existed just because people don't wanna get reminded of their history doesn't makes the one showing it racist. If you want to honor black people then I do believe respecting their history is must as they are the one who suffered. And it's historical accurate. Black people did suffer and still are suffering. Also it seems like our MC is against it as well.

@Uriel91 well number one in America it wasn't only black people, and the man is native American. Two, he introduced himself as a slave, dehumanizing and putting himself on a position lower than the white man. It doesn't quite matter if the MC dislikes it as it still stands that it is a relationship that shouldn't be portrayed.

@Mizispink_strapon I think I understood why ya find it disrespectful. i wasn't focusing on part were he called himself slave. All I saw was MC being kind/respectful towards ppl. so I thought yah MC is pretty much against it. Also maybe because I have read quite manhwa where ppl addressing themselves as Servant or Slave with the trope of Lord x servant/slave . So it didn't click to me why ppl hating it.

@Mizispink_strapon I will never defend slavery. My heart goes out to all the black ppl who suffered slavery and some who are still suffering by it rn. What I was defending was MC intention. Cuz he doesn't seem to support the system at all. I didn't know the problem was ML calling himself slave. Maybe I should have focus on part where y'all felt disrespected.
