@sourlemons No I completely get what you're saying here, I didn't say she entirely enabled his behavior just kind of in a way and I get what you mean. This was also a month ago so my opinions have changed.

@To Ya Well then, that's good. The reason why I responded to your comment was due to the frightening amount of likes on it.

When this kind of behavior is excused and framed as something to sympathized with, it leads to the most vurnerable type of people to remain in abusive relationships. They tell themselves that they aren't good enough or it's their fault, justifying being hit or yelled at. There's no reason to leave. They just need to be better.

When that's not true. They need to separate and probably go to therapy. Having a history of abuse is never an excuse to be abusive to others. It is surely reasonable, but not excusable.

These two characters weren't even in a relationship. It's very common for young girls to say that they'll marry their dad or brother. Or they just won't marry at all so that they can stay home. Caeser's reaction is out of the ordinary.

This may be fiction, but a lot of people are easily influenced by what they read. Especially young readers.
